March Print - Peas

'Peas' is the third print in my 2019 Print Project.
It is a 2 colour linocut print depicting a pea seed packet illustration.
Designed and printed by Sophie.
The print is a limited edition of 20.
Each print has been editioned and signed.

I just love that vibrant spring-like green of peas, the fantastic shape of the pods, and the wonderful swirling delicate tendrils. There is something very special about growing your own peas. One of the many beauties is being able to shell the peas directly from the pods, so fresh and sweet.
Each print is hand burnished using a wooden spoon. I use oil based inks for their longevity and vibrant colour. I have printed onto Japanese paper.
*The pictures are to illustrate design and colour. Due to the nature of the printing process, all prints have slight variations in depth of colour and placement.*
