April Print - Forget Me Not

'Forget Me Not' is the fourth print in my 2019 Print Project.
It is a 2 colour linocut print depicting a forget me not seed packet illustration.
Designed and printed by Sophie.
The print is a limited edition of 20.
Each print has been editioned and signed.
Paper size: 19cm x 23cm

The Forget-me-not is such a pretty little spring time flower.
It can be found popping up in the countryside or grown in your garden.
Traditionally they are a little blue, five petaled bloom with bright yellow centres, but they can now be found in pink and white.
I've opted for the classic blue for this print with a sunshine yellow to keep it bright and fresh.
Each print is hand burnished using a wooden spoon. I use oil based inks for their longevity and vibrant colour. I have printed onto Japanese paper.
*The pictures are to illustrate design and colour. Due to the nature of the printing process, all prints have slight variations in depth of colour and placement.*
