'Tree Tunnel' is a three colour linocut print, inspired by countryside wanders in Cornwall.
I've always loved a tree tunnel and Cornwall, in particular around the Helford river, seems to be full of them. Those twisty Cornish lanes protected by gnarled old trees arching over head. We walked along a little track like this earlier in the year, the golden low summer evening light spilling through the gaps in the branches. As I worked on the design for the print the colour palette started to change, much like the season.
The print is a limited edition of 50.
Each print has been editioned and signed.

All prints are hand burnished using a wooden baren and spoon. I use oil based inks for their longevity and vibrant colour.
It is printed onto a beautiful Japanese Okawara paper which has a deckled edge.
Prints will have a mix of cut and deckled edges.
