'Garden Pinks'
The design is in celebration of the humble garden pink.
Garden Pinks I + II are the blocks used for my block printed fabric of the same name.
I felt the individual blocks worked so well as stand alone images, that I decided to hand block print them onto paper as well. A kind of companion print to the textile pieces. Here they are printed in a berry red over a deep rich yellow.

Each print has been signed.
All prints are hand burnished using a wooden baren and spoon. I use oil based inks for their longevity and vibrant colour.
It is printed onto a beautiful Japanese Okawara paper which has a deckled edge.
Prints will have a mix of torn and deckled edges.
*The pictures are to illustrate design and colour. Due to the nature of the printing process, all prints have slight variations in depth of colour and placement.*
